debit cardds and plane tickets?

I would like to purchase a plane ticket online, today i opened a checking account and have a temporary debit card that doesnt even have my name it says capital one customer would i be able to use it? or would i need someones credit card?

The temporary debit cards are usually just for essential bill payments. I really can’t say for sure if you’d be able to use it or not.

Once you get your real debit card with your name on it, you should be able to use the debit card (as long as it has the Visa or Master Card logo, of course).

Typically it’s safer to use a credit card when purchasing plane tickets or hotel rooms because credit cards often have traveler’s insurance built into them. Also, it’s usually a little easier to get your money back if any fraudulent purchases are placed on a credit card than if they were placed on a debit card.
